In this site, we will be posting material that is to be used during the series of events entitled: In the Footsteps of a Pilgrim – Reflective walks along the Camino Maltés.
| Walking along a pilgrimage route takes the pilgrim on an inner journey of discovery. In these experiences, we will journey along the Camino Maltés, a route dating back to the 16th century that connects Malta to the Cammino di San Giacomo in Sicily, the Caminu Santu Jacu in Sardinia, and the Camino Catalán in Spain, ultimately leading to Santiago de Compostela. As pilgrims who have left their homes on a journey to discover the will of God, we will tread upon the path and embark on a journey inward, while discovering country lanes and villages immersed in the Maltese landscape between Mdina and Birgu. Five walks of different lengths will be organized throughout the year. Each experience is a stand-alone event, and participants can choose which to attend based on the length of each route. |
